The Single Most Important Thing You Can Do For Your Health.

It’s Easy… And It’s FREE!

There is compelling medical evidence that most of the chronic and degenerative diseases now sweeping across America have their roots in a single, but almost universal bad habit…

We simply don’t drink enough water!

If you’re saying to yourself..”If this is true, why haven’t I heard about this?” It could be because the drug companies haven’t figured how to make money on good old H20! So you won’t seeing any million-dollar “Drink more water!” ads on primetime.

On the other hand… if all of us would just apply the information in this article, I believe the drug companies would be out of business within 5 years.

In an effort to keep this article short…

I’m only going to POINT to sources that will document my claims. Rather that try to explain them in detail here. Rest assured this information comes from a highly-regarded physician. One who spent 20 years researching the subject… and who successfully treated thousands of patients.

Six Chronic Symptoms Related To Dehydration

1 – Asthma

This disease effects 17 million children a year… and kills thousands of them. It’s caused by the drought- management systems within the body trying to cope with dehydration by releasing the neurotransmitter “histamine” into the lungs.

Histamine causes the bronchioles to constrict… which in effect, conserves the water that naturally evaporates when exhaling, thus protect the very sensitive tissue within the lungs.

Instead of using some form of antihistamine… which only masks the real problem, the solution is to drink eight 8-oz glasses of water every day.

2 – Allergies

Histamine is naturally produced by the body, but because it is an essential component in the bodies’ drought-management system, when we’re dehydrated, exponentially more histamine is produced… Which causes an overreaction to normally benign substances such as dust and pollen. Again, the solution is as simple as keeping the body well hydrated.

3 – High Blood Pressure

When the body is dehydrated, 66% of the water deficit is reflected WITHIN the cells themselves. 26% is reflected in the fluid environment immediately surrounding the cells, and 8% within the volume of blood being circulated. The circulatory system adapts to its’ 8% loss by shrinking in capacity… capillaries close down and blood vessels contract.

This tightening leads to a measurable rise in blood pressure. Also… because the cells themselves have lost 66% of their water supply, the system pressurizes in an attempt to force more water into the cells. Chronic dehydration = high blood pressure = strokes.

4 – Type 2 Diabetes

Adult-onset diabetes (type 2) is another adaptive state to severe dehydration of the body. The body will supply the brain with what it needs,… even to the point of depriving other organs.

To have adequate water in circulation and for the brain’s priority-1 water needs, the release of insulin is inhibited in order to prevent insulin from pushing water into ALL the bodies’ body cells. In diabetes, only SOME cells get survival rations of water. Adequate water and some salt will reverse adult-onset diabetes in its early stages.

5 – High cholesterol

High cholesterol levels are an indicator of early drought management by the body. Cholesterol is a clay-like material that is poured in the gaps of some cell membranes in order to safeguard them against losing their vital water content to the osmotically more powerful blood circulating in their vicinity. Cholesterol, apart from being used to manufacture nerve cell membranes and hormones, is also used as a “shield” against water taxation of other vital cells that would normally exchange water through their cell membranes.

6 – ADD/ADHD

A very short attention span. Maintaining one’s attention on a given subject is a very energy intensive process. If it doesn’t have a stored reserve of energy it will attempt to “disengage”. The better hydrated the brain, the more energy it can manufacture and use in the imprinting of new information.

Research indicates that chronic dehydration is a MAJOR contributor… if not the the root cause of Depression, Lupus, Chronic Fatigue Syndrome and Fibromyalgia.

3 Common water myths that get us into trouble…

#1 – Other fluids can supply the water needs of the body.

NOT TRUE!

Caffeine and alcohol are diuretics. The result of drinking beverages containing these is a NET LOSS of water. 6 ounces of Coke will cause your body to flush 10 ounces of water. Approximately , the same is true of tea, beer, and mixed drinks.

In that same vein…milk and juices are viewed by the body as FOOD… and do not contribute to the bodies’ water needs.

#2 – The sensation of thirst is the only indicator of a need for water.

NOT TRUE!

Most people think if they do not have “dry mouth” than they are getting enough water. The truth is that, due to the fact that eating is such a high priority for the body, “saliva” is produced… even if the rest of the body is comparatively dehydrated.

#3 – Dry mouth is the very LAST sign of dehydration.

NOT TRUE!

The bottom line is that water is too important to the body to only signal its shortage by experiencing a dry mouth. “DRY MOUTH” IS NOT A SIGN OF THIRST, PAINS ARE!

The label of “disease” is routinely applied when the medical community has not understood that pain and local damage can be one of the ways that persistent drought in the body shows itself.

Until doctors realize that people are suffering from a dehydration problem, they cannot cure the problem… because they have not found it’s source.

How much water is enough?

For an adult, eight 8-oz glasses per day. Most of this information is taken from “Water for Health, for Healing, for Life” by DR F. Batmanhelidj
